I am humbled and grateful to begin my journey as President of the Zonta Club of Victoria. It is my great honor to lead a group of accomplished women from diverse fields who share our common goal of “Building a Better World for Women and Girls.”

One of my foremost priorities will be to strengthen our Club’s local impact, forging even closer collaborations with our community partners and exploring new ways to champion the rights of women and girls. In this fast-paced world, women’s emotional and mental wellness is often overlooked. Therefore, our service projects will prioritize providing support and resources for underprivileged women and girls, ensuring they have the necessary tools to flourish, persevere, and achieve their full potential. They need to feel valued in order to thrive.

I am also committed to addressing the impact of climate change, particularly on women in our city. Women bear the burden of ensuring their families’ safety during extreme weather events and face increased vulnerability to poverty and displacement. Our priority will be empowering women to adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change through gender-responsive policies, sustainable practices, and raising awareness about their unique challenges.

Furthermore, our Club will continue to nominate distinguished women for Zonta International Scholarships, supporting their educational endeavors and enabling them to make meaningful impacts in their respective fields. We will also strengthen the community of scholarship alumni through expanded opportunities for networking and experience sharing. Our sustained support will foster their continual personal and professional growth that extends beyond their scholarship period.
