About Us
Zonta Club of Victoria
On 4 October 1991, the Zonta Club of Victoria was established in Hong Kong. Today, we have more than 40 members, who are accomplished women from diverse professions and businesses who share our common goal of “Building a Better World for Women and Girls.”
Over the past years, the Zonta Club of Victoria, with the zeal, commitment and energy of the small but highly efficient group of members, has bloomed and blossomed. Apart from being supportive of Zonta Internationals, we have been actively engaged in social service projects to empower women and girls domestically.
At Zonta, we believe in education and will continue to nominate distinguished women for scholarships, both internationally and locally, supporting their educational endeavors and empowering them to make an impact in their respective fields.
Zonta International
Founded in 1919, Zonta International is a global non-profit organization dedicated to building a better world for women and girls. Comprising more than 26,000 individuals in 1,100 Zonta clubs across 64 countries, Zonta International holds General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and Participatory Status with the Council of Europe. Zonta teams engage in these important intergovernmental organizations and in important events and campaigns to further our global advocacy efforts and our mission to build a better world for women and girls.
Zonta International is passionate about providing life-changing opportunities for women and girls through international service. By partnering with agencies of the United Nations and other recognized non-governmental organizations, Zonta has improved women’s health, provided better economic opportunities and prevented gender-based violence in 71 countries. Since our first service project, Zonta has contributed more than US$35 million to our international service projects.
