To echo “Zonta Says No To Violence Against Women” Campaign, our Club invited the guest speaker and attendees of our programme talk to participate in a photoshoot advocating the message “I pledge to say no to violence against women” on 7 December 2022.
Empowerment through education – A dialogue and sharing with the legal profession regarding child maltreatment cases especially in divorced families
Education plays a crucial role in empowering women. In collaboration with Ip & Heathfield and the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society, we organized a sharing session on December 11, 2023, focusing on the critical issue of child abuse, encompassing both psychological and physical abuse.
During the session, Ms. Jennifer Ip, Founding Partner of Ip & Heathfield, and Ms. Charmaine Leung, Partner of Ip & Heathfield and Honorable Recording Secretary of our Club, explored and discussed various measures to safeguard the safety and wellbeing of children. The emphasis was placed on the important roles played by family court judges, social workers, and other professionals in implementing these measures.
